In order to be able to handle the coating of all kinds of components in a high-quality, timely and cost-effective manner, a new powder coating system was integrated into the production process and put into operation at the beginning of 2012.
With this production process, ND Coatings is able to blast, clean, paint and dry around 350 components in 24 hours over a 70 m long production line. An overhead conveyor system, which holds the components to be processed, enables the employees working on the production line to work in a way that is gentle on their health. The new plant is capable of processing ship components with a maximum height of 1.5 m, a maximum width of 2 m and a length of 5 m.
In addition to the pipes, small component parts such as railing segments, stairs, foundations or handrails can also be coated.
